I know snow can be exciting, but I am gearing up for spring!
The birds have started to herald spring's impending arrival! (I hear them singing in the mornings.)
And soon they will be looking for nesting sites!
I hope that some of the Blue Birds and House Wrens will choose to nest in my bird houses this spring!
Matthew 6:27+26
Therefore I say unto you,
Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall
drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more
than meat, and the body than raiment?
Behold the fowls of the
air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet
your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
I'd love to put up some bluebird houses this spring maybe! Did you make the birdhouses?
ReplyDeleteHow neat! I would like to make a birdhouse or two sometime. We've had lots of birds in our yard off and on here, including a flock of Meadowlarks, which I was excited to see!
ReplyDeleteA Heart of Praise,
ReplyDeleteYes, I did make these bird houses. I made them last winter, but I didn't put them out very early last spring. I think that only two of the bird houses had occupants. Hopefully I will do better this year at putting them out sooner. In my area I should have them out in early March. This next week we are supposed to have nice weather. I hope to get them all set up in their spots next week.
Southern Sunrise,
ReplyDeleteI am not that good of a bird watcher, but I really do enjoy the birds. I found a magazine at the library called Birds and Blooms. I have learned a lot by reading their issues. It has helped me be more interested in bird watching. I still don't know what a Meadowlark looks like, though. I'll have to look them up. It is always exciting to see the birds come back after their winter vacation. :-)
