Child Rearing Advice From Proverbs

There is an abundance of child rearing advice found the book of Proverbs. I just want to mention one verse today.

I read this verse this week and it jumped off the page at me.

Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.

Proverbs 29:17

I would spend less time being frustrated if I disciplined my son promptly every time he was disobedient. I would have more rest. I would be able to enjoy him more and be angry less.

God always has the answers. Always. :)
