Consecrated hands
Waiting God's commands
Service to perform.
Blessings follow still
All who do His will
Alike in sun and storm.
Humble though the task,
More He does not ask
That we do our best!
If in grace we live,
Service that we give
Truly will be blest.
Market, office, home,
Or in labor lone,
Prove the workman's brand.
Servants, nurses, too,
May their work review
Blest by higher hand.
Christian's work you see,
Not alone for fee,
Not for mere reward;
But with single eye
Talents they apply
As into the Lord.
Consecrated toil,
In workship, home or soil,
Finds it's due reward.
All success we share,
Sanctified by prayer,
Owe we to the Lord.
