My son needed this button sewn to his shorts.
These shoes that are new to me needed a little stitch where the thread had unraveled.
You may have noticed that I had no sewing updates for May. That is because I had a baby on April 28th. I took the month of May off from sewing projects. Due to baby gifts and people bringing us meals I have a lot of thank you cards to send.
I made this design, copied off a bunch, and then added the color with crayons. It's not a sewing project but it is a creative endeavor.
I have also started another pioneer doll. So far the face is embroidered and the seam allowances are marked.By the way, our baby is a girl. Delivery was a very uncomplicated, routine affair. Baby girl has been blessed with good health and is growing like a bean. We love her very much!

Congratulations on your new little bundle of love. I've been enjoying your blog for a little while now, and I just wanted to let you know what a joy and inspiration your blog is. We're located in the midwest as well, but will be moving to AR in a few weeks. I look forward to reading more of your back posts. Have a blessed week and stay cool!
Thank you, Karla! I am glad you are enjoying my posts. I hope your move goes well. This heat is something else! I hope you stay comfortable, as well.
Congratulations. I too find your blog an inspiration and have learnt lots. At this moment my laundry is washing in your laundry soap. Many thanks.
Thank you! I am glad you found my laundry recipe useful. I actually haven't use that recipe for years because Mr. In the Mid-west bought us a fancy washer and he wants us to use a store bought detergent formulated for HE washers. Anyway, it is a handy recipe and I am glad you like it!
